Onome Onokohwomo is better known by his stage name Yung6ix, is a Nigerian hip hop recording artist. The delta state born had taken a strong interest in music at quite a young age. By 2010, he began to attract media attention after his cover version of “Oleku” went viral on the internet. He later released “So Far Gone”, featuring P. Fizzy, a single off his Green Light Green mixtape.
The rapper has just premiered the official music video for his track “Energized” and it is an offshoot from his new music project “Introduction To Trapfro”. The Nigerian HipHop Royalty has always been in the forefront of anything trendy around the African rap scene since he came through the ranks. To further help push the envelope, the rapper serves his latest effort christened “Introduction To TrapFro” as the title suggests, the full-length heralds the emergence of a new sub-genre which is a fusion of Trap and Afrobeats. With guest appearances from Sinzu, Peruzzi, Dammy Krane and noticeably fellow south-south rapper – Erriga, 6ix delivered another worthy body of work which serves as his third studio album.
The video was directed by DMA films and it sees the singer on the streets of the United States Of America. While Yung6ix was doing what he loved to do best which is to rap and entertain, he also treated his fans to a visual journey in this new video. We can expect more videos from this rapper.
