Nigerian Afro pop/R&B artist, Yemi Alade has released the official music video to her latest single titled “Boyz”. Yemi Alade is set to release her fifth studio album soon, according to her team as she is currently finishing up her untitled fifth studio album slated for a 2020 release.
Yemi Alade is an enviably carefree spirit on this her latest track; “Boyz” as she sings about the kinds of boys she likes and doesn’t like. The music video is equally carefree as Alade and her dancers dish out a number of choreographed scenes against brightly coloured backdrops. The intermittent use of animations further adds to the overall jubilant feel of the visuals. The flamboyant queen of African music comes through hard and serves fierce looks accompanied with blindfolded eye candies and tons of colour in the music video directed by the prolific Paul Gambit.
The video which sees the special appearance of Pop and soul star, Seyi Shay. Towards the end of the video, Seyi Shay and Alade become the centre of attention as they are served drinks by beautiful men. Seyi Shay on the other hand, collaborated with Teyana Taylor last year for an Afrobeats-inspired remix of the R&B number “Gimme Love”.
