As we anticipate the release of his forthcoming extended play dubbed “AfroSoul,” which is said to be released on the 15th of May. Nigerian electro-fusion star, WurlD dishes out a brand new single which he titled “Wayo (Kpe Le Wu).”
Sadiq Onifade, known professionally as WurlD, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, WurlD relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue a secondary education and record music. He describes his style of music as electro-fusion. He released his debut EP Evolution in 2013. Ever since then the blue-haired artiste hasn’t failed to release synths and progressions of worthy alté offerings.
Before the existence of the information that there is this song, WurlD and Kel P would have played out in every music lover’s head. This is one record that you could smell coming from afar. It was definitely bound to happen. They both have an electric vibe to their afro sound and I expect more songs from the two of them. They didn’t falter with this collaboration though. Kel P created a smooth, yet energetic afrobeat with a little bit of pop. WurlD’s delivery on the instrumental was nothing but perfect. The emotion he put into his delivery was contagious and you’ll definitely move your body.
