Over the last decade, there’s been a high acceptance for The British rap subgenre of drill music in America and at a time, the late Pop Smoke became a massive inspiration as he became one of the biggest names out the fledgling New York drill scene when he scored his major hits, “Welcome To The Party” and “Dior.” The Massive B sound system as a result of this, have decided to carry on the rapper’s legacy, extending his sound and his reach even as they happen to hail from the rapper’s hometown, Brooklyn as well.
Bobby Konders and Jabba make up the duo- Massive B and they’ve been working hand in hand with Vybez Kartel and this given offering is one of such stories. “Badman” comes equipped with a pungent bassline, setting the tone for all three artistes to rap over. The track which opened up with what seemed to be a short monologue offered by Vybez Kartel to the late rapper, reminds us of the reality and faced trials which occur on the streets on a daily. “Badman” is officially the first release marking the partnership between Massive B and Ineffable Records.
