Annually, the music industry worldwide comes together to celebrate music in what is known as the biggest music award ceremony to date; The Grammy Awards and yesterday was not an exception. Hosted by Trevor Noah, this year’s Grammys was a little different from the previous years. Due to the global Covid-19 pandemic the world is currently battling, there was no in-person attendance. The academy, however, made it possible for fans to tune in live via online streams on their official website, Grammys.com, and various streaming platforms such as YouTube and Facebook.
Every year, with each award won and each musical performance, history is made on the Grammy stage and last night was no exception with two Nigerian superstars winning not one but awards.
Months ago, when the list for this year’s nominees was revealed, Afrobeats fans were not surprised when to see the African Giant aka Burna Boy and Starboy ‘Wizkid’ on it. Burna’s Twice As Tall was nominated for the Best Global Music Album, making it the second album from his catalogue to receive a nomination (the first was the album African Giant which was nominated for this same category last year). Wizkid received his nomination for the Best Music Video category due to his contribution in the hit song Brown Skin Girl from Beyoncè’s 2020 musical film and visual album Black Is King.
Not only did they make history by taking home the awards in both categories, but Burna Boy also made his debut Grammy performance, performing a medley of three of his hit songs Level Up, Onyeka and Ye. As all Burna’s performances go, his debut was incredible to watch.
Burna Boy’s historical win made him the first Nigerian solo artist to win a Grammy. Last night was a huge win not just for both artists but also for Africa and for Afrobeats as it means the world has finally opened its ears to the sounds from Africa.

All sales are final. We do not accept fashion related returns or exchanges as many of our items are made on demand. We will however happily replace damaged, defective, or incorrect items. Any claims for misprinted/damaged/defective items must be submitted within 4 weeks after the product is received. All orders are shipped within 5-7 business days + (Transit time dependent upon shipping service chosen) Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
International shipping recipients WILL be required to pay duties/taxes by their nation's customs in order to obtain possession of their shipment. This charge is determined by the recipient country's government. Complex assumes no liability for these charges, nor are we able to predetermine or estimate these fees ahead of time. They are calculated by customs upon arrival of the package. Complex cannot guarantee an arrival or delivery date, as the customs department can delay release of any package for any reason. It is recommended that you plan for at least 7 business days additional time to receive your shipment. This 7 business day buffer is not a guarantee of time-frame for the release of packages. These delays will vary depending on the nation of delivery, customs department policies and procedures in dealing with the type of product ordered.

If a tracking # is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the tracking information. Please note that some orders using 1st Class USPS mail will not have tracking numbers.
The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the weight of your products, and your location. Before the final checkout page you will be shown your shipping options (if applicable) and what the cost of shipping will be for each option.
For orders shipping to any address in the United States, standard shipping which has a business day transit time. Both of these transit times are from when the order leaves our production facility which can take up to business days.
For international orders we currently only offer standard shipping. Transit time is 10-14 business days for Canada and rest of the world.
