“Dangerous Love” produced by Cracker Mallo sees the Afropop queen shine in rich vocals and lyrical prowess. Tiwa Savage had a slightly bumpy 2019 which saw her release tracks like “Hello Baby”, ” Keys To The Kingdom” and above all “Shotan”. These songs were aired right but didn’t portray the Tiwa Savage, Queen of everything Afro of whom we were all acquainted with.
“Dangerous Love” was released on Wednesday, the 8th of July and it was accompanied by a rather creative art cover, it was seen on a popular sugar brand pack and if looked at closely, the changes as pertaining to the song would be noticed. This time, ‘Dangerous Love’ has high potential. It might still not crack the ‘hit’ status on which an album can be birthed, but it is soft landing for a superstar in desperate need of one. She can use it as platform to release other strong single. That said, the song could surprise us all and do something special. It’s a good song.
It was also pre-informed that Shore, Mystro and Oxlade were involved in the track, a high expectation of an adlib and vocal party is the story of the day. The mid-tempo song serves as the lead single off the former Mavin act’s next album – tentatively titled “Celia” – which is set to drop some time this year. As we are into the 2nd half of 2020, it looks like Tiwa and her team, The Universal Music Group have set the ball rolling once again.
