After achieving a monumental Afrobeats crossover success in the U.S. with his Selena Gomez collaboration “Calm Down,” which garnered over one billion on-demand streams, Nigerian superstar Rema is poised to usher in a new musical chapter.
On Thursday (June 20), Rema announced his 2024 opener—a dynamic collaboration with fellow Edo-native Shallipopi titled “Benin Boys.”
Set against a backdrop of heavy drums and stirring strings, Rema and Shallipopi deliver verses flaunting their “big money” and celebrating their status as global stars. The track is accompanied by a DK-directed music video showcasing the duo in stylish attire across various scenes, including a neon-lit nightclub, a private jet, and a striking church rooftop.
On Tuesday (June 18), Rema was honored with two ASCAP London Music Awards: Song of the Year and Top Streaming Song, both for “Calm Down.” Last year, “Calm Down” soared to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent a record-setting 58 weeks atop the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart. It also reached No. 1 on the all-genre Radio Songs chart, marking a historic achievement for an African lead artist. The track, featured as the second single from Rema’s debut studio album “Rave & Roses,” peaked at No. 81 on the Billboard 200 and No. 2 on World Albums.
Aside from a few solo tracks on the deluxe version of “Rave & Roses,” including “Charm” and “Reason You,” Rema’s recent releases have been largely collaborative. His partnerships include songs with Feid (“Bubalu”), Ice Spice (“Pretty Girl”), and the “Soweto” remix (with Victony, Tempoe, and Don Toliver), which reached No. 65 on the Hot 100. Fans last heard solo tracks from Rema on the October Ravage EP, featuring the fan-favorite “DND.”
“Benin Boys” represents Rema’s first official release as a newly-minted Interscope Records artist, following the label’s UMG-assisted partnership with Mavin Global.

International shipping recipients WILL be required to pay duties/taxes by their nation's customs in order to obtain possession of their shipment. This charge is determined by the recipient country's government. Complex assumes no liability for these charges, nor are we able to predetermine or estimate these fees ahead of time. They are calculated by customs upon arrival of the package. Complex cannot guarantee an arrival or delivery date, as the customs department can delay release of any package for any reason. It is recommended that you plan for at least 7 business days additional time to receive your shipment. This 7 business day buffer is not a guarantee of time-frame for the release of packages. These delays will vary depending on the nation of delivery, customs department policies and procedures in dealing with the type of product ordered.

If a tracking # is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the tracking information. Please note that some orders using 1st Class USPS mail will not have tracking numbers.
The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the weight of your products, and your location. Before the final checkout page you will be shown your shipping options (if applicable) and what the cost of shipping will be for each option.
For orders shipping to any address in the United States, standard shipping which has a business day transit time. Both of these transit times are from when the order leaves our production facility which can take up to business days.
For international orders we currently only offer standard shipping. Transit time is 10-14 business days for Canada and rest of the world.
