The deluxe version of Pop Smoke’s posthumous album, “Shoot for The Stars, Aim for The Moon” is finally here. The album already logged a generous 19 tracks when it came out on July 3. Now, 15 more new Pop Smoke tracks are out on a deluxe version of the album, released on July 20, when the late rapper, born Bashar Jackson, would’ve turned 21.
On February 19, 2020, it was reported that Pop Smoke was shot and killed during what looked like a robbery in his Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles home. The tracks on the deluxe album have new songs including collaborations with Davido, Burna Boy, Jamie Foxx, Burna Boy, and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie among others. Davido was featured in the track “Tsunami” while Burna Boy features in “Enjoy yourself“. A few weeks ago, the deluxe album also caused a rift between Pusha T and Atlanta rapper, Young Thug after Pusha T appeared to take shots at Drake on a song that also features Young Thug and Gunna. Pusha T consequently asked his manager, Steven Victor to remove his verse from the album.
The late Rapper was an international sensation with tentacles spread as far as Africa before his untimely death and so this album was put together to basically eulogize him.
