Since his DMW debut, Peruzzi has soared by way of features, marrying this, his premium label affiliations and luck with the occasional hit to build a brand that serves as a pedestal for him to stand tall in the industry. Following the release of his debut album, Huncho Vibes, he attempted to stay afloat with a subpar single titled Gunshot that bought him enough time in the sun. This month, just as the single’s worth starts to fizzle, he reinforces his presence with its video.
The is one smooth afro-pop song you would love to jam with your significant order, with a drink or two, sitting and watching the sunset. V-Stix and Dalor Beats came together to create a smooth, but bouncy and rhythmic beat. Peruzzi’s energetic vocals came through once again on this song. He belted his notes perfectly and sang with soothing, but familiar melodies. Peruzzi has been in his grind, defining afro-pop and this is another proof.
Although, this song sounds like every other Peruzzi’s song. It doesn’t show any versatility or innovativeness. We expect a little bit of surprise or altercation of sound as his label mate, Mayorkun did on ‘Geng’.
Directed by frequent collaborator, Dammy Twitch, the Vstix produced single adopts an otherworldly theme with kaleidoscopic backdrops to serve as the perfect reflection for Peruzzi’s wishful thinking which materializes as alluring words in the single.
