The Empawa founder’s uptempo offering, is an ode to his parents.
Mr Eazi latest effort, is dating back to his parent’s time, he also centers it around the military, the challenges in their relationships and love life. Kpalanga is Eazi’s story, like many of his peers, he takes us back to what growing up was like for him.
“My dad and mum have been married for over 30 years, and growing up I saw how committed my dad who was far away in the military, was to my mum,” he tells us in a press release. “Now that I’m older and more aware of the sacrifices my father made, I see some of my friends who are in the military going through the same thing. The song is me speaking from the perspective of a lover who’s far away in the military, while his partner is waiting anxiously, engulfed with emotion because of the distance and the reality of their loved one being in the military. We don’t realize all of that waiting becomes frustrating, waiting for your partner to return.”
