Mr Eazi has just released his new song, “The Don” in a bid to announce his forthcoming EP release. He has stated that the EP would be released on the 19th of February this year. Oluwatosin Ajibade is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur who has carefully and meticulously studied and mastered his craft.
He is the pioneer of Banku music, a fusion sound he describes as a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns. This Banku music style can be testified of when an in depth listen and observation of his songs is done. “The Don” was produced by Killertunes and E Kelly and it would appear on the singer’s “Something Else” EP. “I spent the entire year working on building emPawa Africa and morphing into ‘Don Eazi,’” Mr Eazi said in a recent interview.
The singer has undoubtedly expanded his coast in the last year as a result of the international collaborations he had with J Balvin, Nicki Minaj, and Major Lazer. This has placed the Banku frontier on an illuminated pedestal, exposing him to a whole new level of opportunities. According to some journalistic resource, Mr Eazi is currently working on his upcoming third album, tentatively titled “Life is Eazi, Vol. 3.” Speaking about the song release, Don Eazi said; “I almost had no time to record. This project was inspired by Kel P and Killertunes, who kept coming to meet me in Accra until I finally recorded ‘The Don.’ That opened the door for me getting back in the studio.”
