Samuel Adu Frimpong popularly known as Medikal, born April 4 1993 is a Ghanaian hip-hop musician. Medikal adopted the name ‘Medikal’ because he was fascinated with rapping at a very young age.He took interest in rapping about doctors, surgeons, medical practitioners and hospitals in general, He referred to his raps as ‘sick’ not because they were unhealthy but are very creative, good and ‘dope’.
Medikal has made a name for himself in the music industry through hard work and his numerous collaborations with successful artists. In 2017, he was one of the highest nominated artists alongside Sarkodie in the Ghana Music Awards.
Medikal drops a brand new single titled “Nonsense”, accompanied with an official video. A catchy UK-drill influenced beat produced by Unkle Beatz backs the wordsmith as he delivers witty braggadocio infused flows which aim shots at adversaries. The video’s cinematography is worthy of commendation as the par excellence was verily noticed. One dominant feature noticed everywhere was money and more money. Medikal has proven thereby that he’s not only rich in talent but in paper also.
The multiple award-winning rapper recently announced the impending release of a 2020 album dubbed “The Truth”. We are however not so sure if “Nonsense” is a single off the album, or a give-away single intended to build anticipation towards the project.
