Lovers of Nigerian music were wowed a few years ago when ace musician Dr. Sid and sensational producer Don Jazzy released the hit ‘Kabiyesi.’ This time the duo have done it again with a new one – “That’s Interesting“. Ironically, the track is part of the album “The interesting EP”. In the tradition of all Mavin records productions, this one is riveting!
Wurld – Wayo
WurlD and Kel P would have played out in every music lover’s head. “Wayo” is one record that you could smell coming from afar. It was definitely bound to happen. They both have an electric vibe to their afro sound and I expect more songs from the two of them. They didn’t falter with this collaboration though. Kel P created a smooth, yet energetic Afrobeat with a little bit of pop. WurlD’s delivery on the instrumental was nothing but perfect.
E Kelly Feat. Mr Eazi – Need Somebody
“Need Somebody” serves from E-Kelly’s latest studio project “Secrets” which enlists the amazing 5-track. The “No Secrets” extended play comprises of 5 tracks including collaborations with Empawa Africa head honcho, Mr Eazi alongside Joeboy, Minz, Boybreed and dancehall artiste, King Perryy. Meji – Sidewalk Feat. Shakez Baba & David Rhino
Budding Rapper and pigeonholed Lyricist, Meji known for his controversial Blaqbonez diss track 100 Clowns drops a motivationally-rich hip hop record where he preaches focus and concentration on one’s goals. He features Shakez Baba and David Rhino on this as they eloquently express their thoughts into soothing flows and exciting punchlines. Sidewalk is the first song off Meji’s upcoming EP.
Vector Feat. Masterkraft – If We Must
“If You Must (Sun x Rain)” is a song that’s very informative and inspirational. Highly skilled Nigerian rapper, Vector collaborates with ace music producer, Masterkraft to dishes out this eye opener titled, “If We Must” (Sun x Rain). “If We Must” is housed under their forthcoming project tagged, “Crossroads” and it will be released anytime soon.
Yung6ix – You Don See Am Feat. Erigga, Dr Barz, Payper Corleone
As the King of the South gets set to release his 3rd studio album titled ‘Introduction to Trapfro’, he drops ‘ou Don See Am’ as the first single off the project joining forces with other prominent rap generals from the South – Erriga, Payper Corleone and Dr Barz. With this heavy collaboration, Yung6ix is about to dominate the Nigerian hip-hop industry with his secret weapon, a genre he calls Trapfro.
VJ Adams Feat. Mz Kiss – Oluwa
VJ Adams come through with a new impressive song titled “Oluwa”, Featuring Mz Kiss. “Oluwa” is lifted from his EP titled ‘Divergent Lost Files’ Which features Skiibii, Mz Kizz, Nonso Bassey and M.I Abaga. On this piece, he prays to God for assurance of wealth and success on the path that he threads.
Nikita Feat. Teni – Dinero
Dr Dolor Entertainment acts Nikita and Teni team up to treat us with a new banging track titled ‘Dinero’. Dinero is doctored with a finely-calibrated, slow and bumpy hip-hop beat where lyrics of self-praise and ‘girl-power’ is displayed. Nikita’s uniqueness and Teni’s creative talent creates good chemistry on Dinero.
Harrysong – Audio Donation
Harrysong, who is known for his kegite-highlife songs, didn’t fail to deliver another highlife stellar yet again. Well, as they say, do what you do best right?
Audio Donation is a socio-political record about the current situation in Nigeria, especially the one hovering around the donations of several parastatals, organizations, and philanthropists. He delivered his usual kegite call and response style over a highlife instrumental made by Aladdin.
