Reggie’s music is a clear representation of the new music wave in Ghana – Kumerica/Asakaa music. Kumerica is a very direct phenomenon, showing off subcultural subgenres. Kumerica has quickly become a solace for the youth, as they could easily relate and adapt to the lifestyle. Over a decade ago, the movement began in the streets of Kumasi, Ghana, and it has gradually gained prominence, not only in the city but also throughout the country. Reggie is one of such who is a strong agitator and representative of the culture.
He belongs to a music group, Asakaa Boys which also includes the likes of Kawabanga, Cedi City Boy, Jay Bahd, Sean Lifer, Rabby Jones, O’Kenneth, Kwaku DMC and Braa Benk. The rising Ghanian star was very intentional with his music – as he aims to categorically stamp his name on the sands of Asakaa music. He has proven to be a hallmark of peculiar talent. The tracks on the EP include: Feelingx, Blue Heart ft Sean Lifer & O’Kenneth, Why ft ChicoGod, Riches ft O’Kenneth, Akata Gang, Trap Boys ft Kwaku DMC, and Who That.
