Fast rising reggae star, Jaz Elise signed to grammy-nominated Proteje’s In.Digg.Nation label some time last year. She consummated this significant leap with the remix of her Govana featured “Fresh & Clean.” Now, the Jamaican singer officially releases her new song which is accompanied by a well defined video. “Good Over Evil” is the singer’s latest release and it is agreed as a conscious effort by the talented reggae uprising to properly concrete her place in the industry.
“Good Over Evil” is culled out from her forthcoming debut EP, “The Golden Hour” set to be released on the 5th of March, 2021. This project would be released under the umbrella of In.Digg.Nation Collective/Six Course Music/RCA Records. Produced by Natural High and Protoje, Jaz Elise unleashes this song in a conscious bid to appreciate and revere with great awe her jamaican culture and history. Talking about her single, she said, “I’ve had to be strong like many people that look like me. The song is just a note to keep going and remain focused no matter what. At the core, it says all things lead with good intentions, burn evil and to speak life.”
Jaz Elise’s “The Golden Hour” is a complete royal enigma totally encapsulating the rhythms of the island. Elise’s seven-tracked EP is a sultry lyrical breeze blown upon real Jamaican vibe lovers. It’s a sonical mash-up of soft R&B vocals and naked underlying reggae feel. The EP also features production from J.L.L., iotosh, Ziah, and IzyBeats, and guest vocals by Mortimer. Jazmine Taylor is ready for the big screens as with only a handful of amazing audio files and an obvious love for resonating sounds, very evident in her new EP, she’s ready to take the world by storm.
