Cheyenne Salmon, professionally known as Chizzy Bashment is a Canadian-Jamaican dancehall songwriter and singer who has carefully created her niche and perfected her craft. She believes her exposure gives her a distinct advantage over other artistes. I am not afraid to merge genres to achieve my own and has incorporated Afro genres, hip hop, dancehall, and R&B to create my own flavour,” she said in one of her interviews. “I’ve always been involved with music just during different phases in life executing multiple roles within music. My entry point for dancehall -reggae music and taking my artistry seriously would have been 8-9 years ago.” She said in an interview with Lambo Xtra.
Chizzy Bashment has performed at a number of popular Canadian events, such as Youth Day, Windsor Sports Weekend, and Can-Jam Music Festival. Chizzy has just released her new tune she titles “Talk Now.” “Talk Now” which was rendered in a cool fashion saw the Jamaican express her contingencies on her expectations from her love interest, sadly ending up disappointed.
The house-genre tune sees the singer express her vocality as she vibes to the low-tempo produced beat. She had earlier on expressed her disappointment in the unexpected downplay in her career as a result of the global pandemic which got major in most parts of the world in April.
