Allan Harvey makes a commitment to the one he loves in the new song “Goddess.” It’s the first single from the genre-bending artist this year released via Anchor Music. The new song is a follow-up to his impressive 2021 major debut, “Maria“.
“The song was actually written for a lady I was dating at the time the song was recorded in 2021, inspired by my love and affection for a woman I see in my eyes as a Goddess, and how as a mere man I don’t deserve to be loved by her. We’re not together at the moment so I guess I was right,” explains Allan Harvey.
We caught up with Allan Harvey as he talks about not wanting to be boxed around a particular genre of music, why he chose music as a career path, and what’s next for him.
Hey Allan Harvey! How are you?
Hey Lambo, honored to have been granted this opportunity. I’m doing great by Grace thank you.
When did you first get involved with music? And why did you choose it as a career path?
Music has always been a part of my life since my birth actually, My mother was a DJ and event planner and organizer, so I grew up close to everything “Music“. I have been singing and writing pieces since I can’t even remember but I remember I recorded my first song at 16. I didn’t put out any music though until I turned 21 last year and then released my debut and sophomore singles that sort of putting me on a map. I decided music is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life because I know it’s what I do best and I don’t think there’s something else in this world that I do as well as I make music, I took the decision in 2019 and since even before then had been working on “perfecting” my craft and finding my sound and simply just working on my music
And congratulations on the release of “Goddess” your most recent release. Can you give us a bit of detail about the inspiration behind the release?
Thanks a lot, Lambo, I appreciate it. Goddess was actually written for a Goddess I was dating at the time the song was recorded in 2021, inspired by my love and affection for a woman I see in my eyes as a Goddess, and how as a mere man I don’t deserve to be loved by her. We’re not together at the moment so I guess I was right.
I believe there’s a particular message you are trying to convey with the new track! What do you want your listeners to feel when they hear it?
I can’t really tell how I’d want my listeners to feel after listening to Goddess, most definitely not as sad as me when I hear it, but probably to feel the love and ecstasy I experienced at the time when I was with my “Goddess“.
What is next for you Allan Harvey?
At the moment we’re still promoting Goddess and my other previous releases as much as possible. We’re also working on new music for my listeners, I can confirm two singles are already done and scheduled for rollout soon enough.
