Delta State Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has praised his Special Assistant on Entertainment, Amb Prayer Pemu, for organizing the 2024 Delta State Creative and Entertainment Summit.
The governor announced that a bill to establish the Delta State Film and Censorship Board has been sent to the State House of Assembly.
While declaring the summit open, he emphasized the importance of the creative industry in driving the state’s economic growth. He lauded the summit’s theme, “Advancing Delta State Economic Growth through the Creative Industry.”
Represented by his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, Governor Oborevwori stated that establishing the Film and Censor Board is essential, especially after Asaba’s recognition by UNESCO as a creative city.
The governor highlighted the state’s abundant creative talents and urged youths to leverage digital technology to expand their artistic reach beyond local boundaries.
He also announced the creation of a state-of-the-art film village in Asaba, further solidifying the city’s status as a UNESCO-recognized creative hub.
The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Darlington Ijeh, underscored the summit’s goal to enhance the entertainment industry in Delta State.
Organizer Amb Prayer Pemu expressed gratitude to the Delta State Government and its citizens for their support in making the summit successful.
The event featured motivational stories from comedians Alibaba, I Go Dye, and Gordons, while Nollywood star Norbert Young encouraged youths to hone their talents.
The NYSC members attended in large numbers, with a first-graduate youth corps member receiving a total of one million naira from Dr. Paddy Emmanuel Iyamu, founder of DP Foundation, and Hon Eseka Paul Onyeka, the Governor’s Special Assistant on Environmental Beautification.

International shipping recipients WILL be required to pay duties/taxes by their nation's customs in order to obtain possession of their shipment. This charge is determined by the recipient country's government. Complex assumes no liability for these charges, nor are we able to predetermine or estimate these fees ahead of time. They are calculated by customs upon arrival of the package. Complex cannot guarantee an arrival or delivery date, as the customs department can delay release of any package for any reason. It is recommended that you plan for at least 7 business days additional time to receive your shipment. This 7 business day buffer is not a guarantee of time-frame for the release of packages. If a tracking # is provided by the shipping carrier, we will update your order with the tracking information. Please note that some orders using 1st Class USPS mail will not have tracking numbers.
The rate charged for the shipping of your order is based on the weight of your products, and your location. Before the final checkout page you will be shown your shipping options (if applicable) and what the cost of shipping will be for each option.
For orders shipping to any address in the United States, standard shipping which has a business day transit time. Both of these transit times are from when the order leaves our production facility which can take up to business days.
For international orders we currently only offer standard shipping. Transit time is 10-14 business days for Canada and rest of the world.
