Fireboy gets his first feature outside the YBNL cap and this time, it’s with Reminisce. Reminisce comes through with a Sarz-produced single titled “Ogaranya” which employed the lyricist, Fireboy on it. The song is acts as a forerunner for Reminisce’s upcoming six-track EP, “Vibes and Insha Allah”.
Sarz started off with an RnB chord progression with many diminished and augmented notes. The shocker came when the drums came in. He hit us with a dancehall drum pattern with the accented ‘pon pon’ sound of the Afro-pop genre. This gave the song life and a whole new vibe we are used to. Fireboy came through with a nice chorus. His unique vocals and Asian-esque melodies worked well with the instrumental. Reminisce did his thing as usual. He rapped with nice flows, unique vocal cadence, and everything just went smoothly.
The overall production was great as the vocals were clear, audible, and they sat well with the instrumental. It is a groovy song with chords pliable to make you fall in love and percussion so deep, it would make move your body to the rhythm. This dual effort is worth reckoning and air time deserving.
