Fave (real name-
Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere) is a blend of R&B, Pop, Soul & dancehall artiste born in
Lagos on the 13th of March 2000. Fave’s music is inspired by her desire to tell
stories that speak the heart & experiences of people. Her musical
influences breeds from Adele, Billie Eilish, Shaggy, SIA and Lorde. The artiste
has 2 official singles available on soundcloud, ITunes/Apple Music , Spotify , Tidal , Google Play and every
other streaming and download platforms. Singles titled “M.O.M.M.S” and “DAL”.
With her music already earning a spot on Ndani TV’s Skinny Girl in Transit and
garnering an avid following despite only being a year into her career as a
musician, she had her audience waiting for weeks for her new single N.B.U
produced by Jinmi Abduls.
Jinmi Abduls made a simple yet groovy instrumental with a
dancehall-esque drum pattern and Afro-pop melodies. This gave room for Fave’s
vocals to shine and they sure did. Fave’s unique vocals came through hard. Her
vocal texture and tonal quality are so beautiful and she delivered well. Her
melody choices were great as she sang pop-like melodies. Her energy never
dropped and her build-up to the catchy chorus was on point. The lyrical
composition was also good. Fave seems to be a master of abbreviations as her previous
records have all come bearing abbreviations.
“Who zombie come be for this kind thing, na shoot and kill” basically talks about fighting hard for a love nobody can stop not even an alien creature can stop this love now. ‘N.B.U- Nobody But You’ has potentials of putting the songstress on the limelight.
