Davido Music World resident rap star Dremo has released a
loosie from his collection dubbed ‘Wahala Dey’, which was recently recorded and
was inspired by the current state of global affairs, most importantly the novel
pandemic that is currently on everybody’s lips. ‘Wahala Dey’ comes shortly
after he successfully released his captivating record dubbed “Faaji” featuring
Sinzu and ANBT head honcho, Ycee.
We’re living in uncertain times and while most musicians
have opted to lay low, Dremo takes a different path. On his latest, Wahala Dey,
the Rapper is a town crier and prophet of doom among other things. Although,
Dremo here seems to more than ever portray an Olamide Badoo kind of flow. Some
have even argued that this is the rapper’s best release yet.
Backed by booming bass beats, Dremo flexes his ability to
immerse himself into any subject on the track, smattering a litany of
provocative loose bars over the equally stimulating instrumental. He touches on
the pandemic, a subject most have avoided and his intolerance for things that
do not concern him. Most impressive is the smooth union of Dremo’s teeming list
The rapper never stops letting us know how talented he is, the new output goes further to prove his musical prowess. The wordplay, bars and punchlines on the record is some next level stuff.
