Drake and DJ Khaled are set to release two new songs together. Khaled, 44, took to Twitter to reveal the pair will be dropping a couple of anthems on Friday (07.17.20), after he recently revealed they have a pop tune on the way. Drake and DJ Khaled have previously worked together on the hits “I’m On One,” “For Free,” and “No New Friends.”
On Monday, Khaled shared a trailer for the songs with his announcement. The campily intense movie trailer-esque production stars Khaled, who walks in slow motion to salute the statue of a lion, and a real-life owl. Twitter spared no time insisting that the owl was meant to represent Moloch, but it’s more likely that Khaled intended to show his appreciation for Drake’s label October’s Very Own, which sports an owl for a mascot.
Right after the tweet from the world famous producer, commentaries flew in, a few expressing their displeasure about the producer’s current form and others solidly giving a vote of confidence creating high anticipation for the tracks. The upcoming track releases is a forthcoming monstrosity from the duo.
