Chike unleashes emotive number to pinpoint the eventual scenario of the just happened #LekkiMassacre. Right after releasing his previous single titled “If You No Love” which features DMW singer, Mayorkun, Chike deems it fit to earmark the event of 20th of October, 2020 at the lekki toll gate.
In remembrance of the fallen heroes of the Lekki Toll Gate shooting on 20.10.20, victims of police brutality, talks about a bill regulating the use of social media in Nigeria and the #EndSARS movement; Afro-pop/soul star Chiké protests with the moody “20.10.20 (Wahala Dey)”, as a reminder that the elected officials in Nigeria value their respect above the lives of innocent Nigerians.
It is believed that the real essence of these songs is to properly and intentionally keep that saddening event ever existent in history. The careful selection of the name “Wahala Dey” is to remind the youths that we have a lot of problems to tackle and we have only just started. Chike joins the host of other artistes to join in the struggle artistically.
