Queenbee herself, Beyoncé seems to have a thing for African artistes as these past few years have seen the queen of pop much more involved with African art. Most recently, a video which was shot with one of Ghana’s finest, Shatta Wale on the track titled “Already” has been received globally, getting a lot of attention on the media.
“Already” was presumably the best song off the “Gift” album and it has been complimented with content-filled video. Beyonce dives into the deepest levels of African pop culture to unearth impressive dance moves and color combinations as well as fashion.
The TBA produced video saw the singer’s attempt in connecting with deep African cultural precepts. The video is rich in African values. Shatta Wale happened to be one of the many artistes featured on The Lion King album and when asked about his thoughts concerning the collaboration, he said: “Yeah I met up with Beyonce and we shot a video for the “Already” song. I didn’t meet with Jay Z but I met Beyonce and her daughter. We took pictures and they were happy seeing me.”
