Amaarae’s new album “Fountain Baby” is a mesmerizing blend of R&B, soul, and Afropop that showcases the Ghanaian-American artist’s (born in the Bronx, raised in Atlanta and Accra) unique voice and luxurious style. Released via Interscope Records on June 9, 2023, the album features 14 tracks that explore themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery.

Another highlight is “Come Home to God,” the album-closing track. The song is about how her girl who after working as a pole dancer comes back home to “Alimony Ama” (Amaarae’s nickname) referred to as a god in the lyrics.
