After nearly two years away from the spotlight, Nigerian-born, South Africa-based artist Jackson Irorere, popularly known as 8Figurez, is ready to reintroduce himself to the world. His much-anticipated comeback single, “Tease Me” featuring Manix Chow, arrives on December 12, marking a new chapter in his musical evolution.

In a recent chat, 8Figurez reflected on his time away from the music scene, revealing that the break wasn’t just a pause, it was a period of growth. “I needed to step back and focus on something that would help me grow beyond music,” he shared. “Pursuing my Master’s degree in the UK was one of the best decisions I made. It gave me clarity, discipline, and a deeper appreciation for my art.

Returning to the studio after that hiatus was both nostalgic and inspiring. “The energy was electric,” he said with a smile. “Recording ‘Tease Me‘ with Manix Chow reminded me of why I fell in love with music in the first place. The chemistry was natural, we bounced ideas off each other effortlessly, and the result was pure magic.

When asked what fans should expect, 8Figurez was confident yet humble. “‘Tease Me’ is just the beginning. I’ve got more singles and visuals lined up starting January. This is me, fully back, more refined, more focused, and ready to share my story through sound.”

For fans of authentic Afro-fusion, “Tease Me” promises to be the perfect reintroduction to the world of 8Figurez.
